Our digital address change tool makes it easy to update your clients’ addresses, and send it to your clients for electronic approval with a few taps on their computer or mobile device. The process is quick, easy, and secure.

System defaults to digital workflows for address changes

As part of our effort to make it easier to use our fast, secure digital address change tools, we’ve made changes to some default behavior for related links on the Forms & Applications page.

  • When you choose the Change of Address Form (Duplicate Mailing), in the form library, you’ll see that the default option is "Request Address Change", which will direct you to the digital workflow.
  • Our digital tools use smart applications to help eliminate errors and rework, and provide a better experience for your clients by enabling quick, secure approvals online or on their mobile device.

Use new tools to help clients open accounts and manage details—fast, secure, and paper-free

Now, all firms have access to two new account management features on Schwab Advisor Center® that make opening accounts and changing a client’s address easier, more efficient, and more secure than ever before.

These new tools, located on the Forms & Applications Page of Schwab Advisor Center, offer a number of benefits for your firms and clients:

  • Use the account open tool to open accounts in less than 10 minutes while minimizing “not in good order” (NIGO) errors.
  • With the address change tool, you can initiate the process online, eliminating the need for faxing and wet signatures.
  • Both tools let clients approve in seconds, similar to the eAuthorization process for move money requests.
  • The modern workflows offer straight-through processing and automated status updates.

Revenue may also be received from the market centers where ETF trade orders are routed for execution. Tax-loss harvesting is available for clients with invested assets of $50,000 or more in their Institutional Intelligent Portfolios account. Clients must be enrolled to receive this service. Cash balances held in the Sweep Program at Schwab Bank are eligible for FDIC insurance up to allowable limits per depositor, per account ownership category.
