SEC proposed rule harmonization
The SEC has long considered harmonizing the rules followed by broker-dealers and RIAs, which many independent advisors perceive as a threat to their business. As a result, Schwab conducted a survey to gather advisors' perspectives and led a unified response on behalf of RIAs and the industry.
