Speaker 1:
Welcome to the schwabadvisorcenter.com overview series. In this session today, we’re going to focus on the “Forms and Applications” area of the website. This is where your advisors go to open up new accounts for new and existing clients. The website is where you’ll find all the different forms and applications that are available for doing business with Schwab. As you can see, there are lots and lots of different forms to choose from. The great thing about the site is you can actually customize it depending on how your practice runs and what forms and applications you will need on a regular basis. You can easily sort and filter the site by the type of application. You can search by the title of the form if you know the name of the form you’re looking for, or you can customize the site and create what we call “Favorites.” So, if they are forms you’re using on a regular basis, you can easily pull those to the top by quickly selecting the little star that lives beside the form, and you’ll see it quickly will move to the top of the page. So, by adding more, you’ll actually build your “Favorites” list of applications you’ll use on a regular basis.

Speaker 1:
Also, some features that highlight on the website that allow you to create new accounts in a streamlined fashion. First, the e-signature capability that’s now available in [schwabadvisorcenter.com]. You can quickly create packets of forms electronically to send to your clients to get signatures in an electronic fashion to streamline that process. This is all being made available through our relationship with DocuSign.

Speaker 1:
Also, I’ll highlight Laser App. Laser App is a form-filling application that works with a lot of the popular CRM systems to grab information out of your relationship management system to partly populate those forms. So, you can streamline that account application fill-in for process.

Speaker 1:
So, let’s take a look at some of the different options for creating new forms. So, if I choose this first form here, Schwab One Personal Account, and I select that option, you’ll see that you’ve got a number of different options for creating a new account: using the “Wizard” which, if it’s an existing firm or a firm that you’ve already put the information in one time, the website remembers that. And you can actually use that information to pre-populate the form and then use the e-signature capability. If you’re using your CRM and Laser App, the second option here allows you to kick off that process to grab the information out of your CRM. Next, you can do it the old-fashioned way with a PDF and the e-signature capability where you just pull up the PDF and fill in the information.

Speaker 1:
And last but not least, if you’d like to pull up the PDF and actually just save it to your desktop, I’ll pull up an example here. You can quickly [audio skips] PDF and actually just save it to your desktop. I’ll pull up an example here. [Audio skips] see that the PDF and actually just save it to your desktop. I’ll pull up an example here. [Audio skips] form and you can just type in information. You can check off the box for the appropriate settings for a given client and fill out the form as a PDF.

Speaker 1:
The last thing I’ll highlight is the application. So, in a lot of cases, we know that when a new client comes to you, there are actually going to be multiple forms that need to be filled out. You’ll see this little plus sign that lives beside a few of these applications. So, if I expand that, you’ll see that this actually makes up up to, it looks like, 10 different forms here from the account opening form itself to Power of Attorney, MoneyLink. So, we’ve really tried to think through and help you organize the different forms you may need for a new account.

Speaker 1:
The last thing I will highlight before we call this session is another video that will give you an overview of the work view process for opening up the forms and using that e-signature capability. So, on the [schwabadvisorcenter.com] overview series website, please also see the “E-signature: see the experience for you and your clients” video. That will give you a good overview of what it takes to open up an account and use the e-signature capabilities for streamlining that account opening process.

Speaker 1:
So, this brings us to the end of the Forms and Applications overview. For more information about other capabilities of [schwabadvisorcenter.com], please visit some of the other videos we’ve made available. Thank you.
