More enhancements are in development, but here's an overview of the first wave of updates:

  • Filter, search, and take action—even while the system is aggregating results

  • Unarchive option lets you return previously archived alerts to the main view
  • The new Unread setting displays unread alerts in bold and tagged with a new bullet icon
  • A new, easy-to-read, full-page alert details screen

Helpful management and status enhancements for your firm's digital envelopes

A number of recent enhancements make it easier to manage your onboarding and account maintenance requests from the Manage Schwab Envelopes page.

  • A new status indicator notes when all clients have completed signing.
  • You can now edit envelope names and manage preferences—such as auto-submission or notification settings—from the main table view.
  • You can now filter envelopes based on their sub-status.

These improvements should make the digital experience even better for your firm and clients.

Track DocuSign envelopes on the Status page

The Status page on the Activity tab was already the best way to track your submitted requests, documents, and other interactions with Schwab.

Now you can monitor any DocuSign envelopes your firm has sent for client approval or submitted for processing. Previously, those envelopes could be monitored and managed only from the DocuSign console.

The Status page shows at-a-glance information about any issues requiring attention, and you can drag-and-drop documents and add text notes—all from one convenient interface.

New status update for contra-initiated outbound transfers

You can now view contra-initiated outbound ACAT transfer status on the Status tab on Schwab Advisor Center. This new Status update is populated in real-time when an outbound transfer of assets is initiated allowing you to contact your client, if you choose, potentially preventing fraudulent activity if the client didn’t initiate the transfer. A few things to note:

  • This status is visible for full and partial outbound transfers initiated by the client at the receiving firm, as well as residual transfers and reclaims. There is no Request ID associated with these transfers.
  • For a full transfer, the account is not eligible for trading and withdrawals, including fee processing.
  • The delivering firm name, last three characters of the delivering firm account number, and estimated completion date are included within the information displayed in the status tab.
  • If the client wants to cancel the outbound transfer, stopping the transfer is "best efforts only" due to a short window of opportunity. Contact your service team with questions.
  • The current alert for outbound transfers will continue to appear on the Alerts tab the day after the transfer is initiated.

Use email to stay up-to-date with open status requests

A new email feature makes it easier to keep up-to-date with your open requests on Schwab Advisor Center.

Previously, you had the option on the Status page to receive email notifications for requests you initiated or were tracking while they were in process. Now you can opt in to receive these notifications for all work requests in each Request Type category—such as account maintenance, cost basis, or move money—based on when those requests have an action needed or are resolved.

In the past, you also had to subscribe to each request on a per-request basis, and that option is still available if you want notifications only for specific requests. With this enhancement, anyone who needs updates on all account open requests, for example, can subscribe to all related updates with a few clicks. Ad hoc request notification functionality still exists for advisors who want to be notified only for specific requests.
